Hello again

Firstly I want to thank all the new members that have joined us.
I hope you visit here regularly to keep in touch with goings on.
And I encourage all new and existing members to start topics on whatever
subject they like. This forum is all about sharing ideas. So go for it!


Lastly, it's good to see Pontians from different parts of the world joining the forum. It goes
to show that we are all united regardless of where in the world we are living.

The Search Function

Just a reminder to members, that the search function is an ideal way
to find information on the forum. If you're looking for information about
Pontos, then click on the "Search" button which is in the top right hand
part of the forum page, just under our logo.

Make sure you set the date range accordingly and type in your search word
or words, and you can find information from all parts of the forum to help
you gain knowledge on Pontos.

Faster Server

The forum was offline for about 36 hours while system upgrades were
being done. The forum is now on a faster server so it should run faster than before.

Site Home and New Name

The forum now has a Home Page and new name!

Our new name is www.pontosworld.com which reflects on all our
members who are from all around the world. B)

The front page is also the welcoming / portal page so you will go straight
into it if you type in www.pontosworld.com.

Platinum Members

Τά μέλη που επισκέπτονται και κάνουν ποστ στο φόρουμ συχνά, άπο
σήμερα γίνονται Platinum μέλη. Τα Platinum μέλη έχουν ανώτερες
δυνατότητες. Έχουν ΠΜ κουτί που μπορεί να κρατήσει 75 μηνήματα. Μόνο τα Platinum
μέλη μπορούν να κατεβάζουν μουσική στο subforum που έχουμε. Για να γίνετε Platinum
μέλος, πρέπει να κάνετε τουλάχιστον 20 posts.

As of today, members who visit and contribute to the forum on a regular
basis will become Platinum Members. Platinum Members have a PM box
that can store 75 messages. Only Platinum members can download music which
is in our Music Subforum. To become a Platinum member, you must have at least
20 posts.

Nέο Σέρβερ - New Server

Θέλω να ανακοινώσω σε όλλα τα μέλη (και τους επισκέπτες μας) ότι
στις ερχόμενες μέρες, η αρχική σελίδα μας θα ανεβεί σε σέρβερ δική μας.
Θα προσπαθήσουμε να φτιάξουμε μία αρχική σελίδα που θα προσφέρει
πολλά και διάφορα πράγματα με θέμα τον Πόντο.

Languages

We would like to ask members to use either English or Greek when
posting in the forum.

However we do realise that many of our members can't type in either
of these languages. We therefore will allow some use of other languages
in the forum, as long as it's not used in excess and is relevant to the topic
in which it is being written.

Update

Recently we expanded the forum to include more Off Topic Forums such as
Games, General Discussion, World News, Pictures and Funny Stuff.
We may add more in the future depending on member preferences.
Platinum Members (those who have a post count of 20 or more) are reminded
that we have a Discography Section in the Music forum where they can download and
listen to Music files. We hope to add more Music to this section in the future.

Πριν λίγο καιρό βάλαμε περισσότερα θέμματα στο φόρουμ για Γενική Συζήτηση σαν
Φωτογραφίες, Ανέκδοτα, Μιά Ματιά Στον Κόσμο και άλλα. Μπορεί να βάλουμε
περισσότερα στο μέλλον ανάλογα με τις προτιμήσεις των μελών.
Υπενθυμίζουμε τα Platinum Μέλη (αυτοί που έχουν πάνω άπο 20 ποστ)
ότι υπάρχει Τμήμα Δισκογραφίας στο φόρουμ που μπορούν να κατεβάσουν και
να ακούσουν Ποντιακή Μουσική. Ελπίζουμε να προσθέσουμε περισσότερη μουσική σε
αυτό το τμήμα στο μέλλον.

Forum Rules - Update

Genocide Denial

PontosWorld Forum will not tolerate the denial of the Greek Genocide or any
other genocide. The Greek Genocide has been officially recognised by the
International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) as well as other eminent
scholars and it's denial will result in a permanent ban.

Το PontosWorld Φόρουμ δεν επιτρέπει την άρνηση της Ελληνικής Γενοκτονίας
ή όποια άλλη γενοκτονία που έχει γίνει. Η Ελληνική Γενοκτονία έχει αναγνωρηστεί
επίσημα άπο την Διεθνής Ένωση Ακαδημαϊκών για τη Μελέτη των Γενοκτονιών (IAGS),
και άλλους διαπρεπείς μελετητές, και η άρνηση της θα αποτελέι σε άμεσως ban.
